Community Park Development Grant Project Webinar Series

These 5-10 minute webinars are designed as informational videos for current grantees to use throughout the project management process, and for future grant applicants to use to learn more about what is involved with a community park development grant project. If you have additional questions or would like more information, please contact your assigned project manager or regional advisor.



The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), Bureau of Recreation and Conservation (BRC) 2017 grant program for statewide, regional and local recreation and conservation projects will open on January 23 and close on April 12, 2017. Opportunities for training and technical assistance on this grant program and other recreation and conservation related topics are being offered through a series of four webinars in January and February. 2017 DCNR Educational Webinars


DCNR Grants for locally based Recreation, Conservation, Trail and Riparian Buffer Projects (Planning, Development, and Acquisition projects): This webinar is designed for applicants who were not able to attend one of the statewide grant workshops or would like additional information on DCNR’s grant program for obtaining funding for local community based public recreation and conservation projects. Participants will learn about eligible project activities, funding sources, matching requirements and strategies on how to create a competitive grant application.

NEW Riparian Forest Buffer Grant Program: This webinar will detail DCNR’s new grant opportunity to support the establishment of riparian forest buffers along the waterways of the commonwealth. Participants will learn about eligible project activities, matching requirements and eligible sources, project requirements and available technical assistance. Multifunctional buffers will also be reviewed during this webinar.
