American Planning Assoc. (APA) Pennsylvania Chapter (PA) October 12 -14, 2014 PA Annual Conference, Philadelphia,PA
The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Bureau of Recreation and Conservation grant program application period will open on January 14, 2015 and close on April 16, 2015. In partnership with the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society, DCNR is offering free, in-person grant workshops at six locations across Pennsylvania in November of 2014.
These workshops will provide information to potential applicants on DCNR grants available for recreation, conservation, and community based projects. Grants are funded through a variety of sources including the Keystone Recreation and Conservation Fund, Environmental Stewardship Fund, Pennsylvania Recreational Trails Program, and the Land and Water Conservation Fund. Participants of the grant workshops will receive guidance and updates on our on-line application process and how to create a competitive application. Attendees will also receive information on eligible applicants and projects, learn about the documents required for various types of projects, and have the opportunity to interact with Bureau of Recreation and Conservation staff. Community leaders, municipal officials, consultants, land trusts, board members, trail managers, and park and recreation professionals are encouraged to attend.

November 6 - Conshohocken
November 18 - Wexford
November 19 - Franklin
November 20 - Nanticoke
November 21 - State College
