The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources maintains the largest conservation and environmental stewardship education program in the commonwealth. Through a variety of educational and informational programs from one corner of the commonwealth to the other, DCNR staff annually educate hundreds of thousands of students, teachers and visitors to Pennsylvania's state parks and forests.

Conservation and Environmental stewardship extends to cities and towns because plants and animals seek out space to grow and live in areas right in the middle of houses, stores, offices and other busy places just as they seek habitat in our beautiful wild areas.
