Non-Surface Disturbance Leasing

Limited leasing will allow natural gas to be extracted only where there will be no additional long-term disturbance on DCNR lands. Get more information from this fact sheet and read the executive order in this news release. Review drafts of Non-Surface Disturbance Lease Criteria and lease form for State Forests and State Parks.

Oil and Gas Management Guidelines

In 2013 DCNR revised the guidelines for administering oil and gas activities on state forest lands. For a summary of the guideline revisions click here.  If you would like to comment on these guidelines please send them to ra-naturalgas@state.pa.us
