Private Forest Landowners

The Bureau of Forestry is in the process of developing this web site as a central networking hub that connects PA's Citizens, as stakeholders in the sustainability of Pennsylvania's private forest resource, with information, resources, and organizations that help them make informed forestry decisions. Please check back periodically to see additions and enhancements.

The Rural & Community Forestry Section of the Bureau of Forestry is responsible for giving professional forestry guidance and technical assistance to private forest landowners.

Service Foresters: A Bureau Service Forester is assigned to each county to advise residents on forest management. The Community & Urban Forestry Assistance program offers community organizations information on all aspects of forest ecology and management. Forest management demonstration areas, located across Pennsylvania, provide examples of a variety of management practices.

Forest Stewardship Bulletins: Learn how to sustainably manage your forest or woodlot.
