Hike For Health

Kildoo Trail - McConnell's Mill State Park

Rushing waterfalls, towering hemlocks and giant boulders combine to create an incredible hiking opportunity. With over 2,000 protected acres, McConnell’s Mill encompasses some of the most spectacular terrain in the region. A series of interconnecting trails follow the entire Slippery Rock Gorge, designated a National Natural Landmark in 1974. A great starting place for hiking is at the historic McConnell’s Mill. Here, trails lead in either direction up and down the gorge. For a moderate, two-mile loop, try the Kildoo Trail, which travels along the scenic Slippery Rock Creek. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes or boots for this park’s trails, and stay on the trail at all times.

* Once printed, the sheet of paper is designed to be folded twice.
(Therefore, the upper left-hand quarter will appear "upside down" on your screen.)

  • With printed side facing up, fold sheet "long-ways" (along the map) so that the printing faces "out" on both sides (and resulting in a sheet about 4.25"x11")
  • Fold in half again, so that the large photo faces "out" (the finished product should now be about 4.25"x5.5")
