Ramble Trail is a 2.2-mile leisurely walking trail beginning at the park's trailhead kiosk and passing through the scenic lowlands of the park, returning to the park swimming pool. This is a nice circular trail rambling along an old millrace to the site of Thaddeus Stevens' 1830 forge. The trail also passes through one of the oldest white pine plantations in Pennsylvania. This is a great trail for the potential to see woodland birds and perhaps a ruffed grouse or wild turkey. There are 10 other trails in and around the park, some passing other historic remnants of the Caledonia Iron Works. The park is surrounded by thousands of acres of Michaux State Forest, providing access to many other hiking opportunities. Michaux's 4-mile Rocky Knob Trail offers interpretive stations, beautiful overlooks and varying forest terrain. Maps of the trail are available at the Forest District Office.

* Once printed, the sheet of paper is designed to be folded twice.
(Therefore, the upper left-hand quarter will appear "upside down" on your screen.)
- With printed side facing up, fold sheet "long-ways" (along the map) so that the printing faces "out" on both sides (and resulting in a sheet about 4.25"x11")
- Fold in half again, so that the large photo faces "out" (the finished product should now be about 4.25"x5.5")
