CONSERVATION AND NATURAL RESOURCES ADVISORY COUNCIL ELECTS NEW OFFICERS
HARRISBURG (July 9, 2003) — The Conservation and Natural Resources Advisory Council (CNRAC) announced today its new officers for the next two-year term. The officers were elected and announced at its most recent Council meeting held on June 25.
William Mifflin of Philadelphia has been elected chairperson of CNRAC. Mifflin is the director of operations and landscape management for the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Recreation. He has served on the Council since February 1998.
Thomas Buzby of Lebanon will serve in the first vice-chair position. Buzby serves as vice president of corporate affairs for Weaber Inc., a Lebanon County forest products manufacturer. He has served on the Council since August 1999.
Clifford David of Lower Gwynedd will serve in the second vice-chair position. He is the president of the Heritage Conservancy, based in Doylestown. David has served on the Council since July 1999.
CNRAC is comprised of 18 appointed citizens from across Pennsylvania, plus the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR).
The legislatively mandated council confers with and advises DCNR, the Governor, and the General Assembly concerning conservation and stewardship of the Commonwealth’s natural resources. Its workgroup structure allows the Council to develop informed recommendations on activities and programs of and affecting DCNR.
