Worked on Joseph John's Park, whch now is called Roxbory Park. There is no trace of the camp or even a marker to the CCC, but there is a granite marker to FDR erected by the United Steel Workers. The camp operated first as a veterans camp them from 1935-36 was a junior camp.

The camp is bounded by Franklin Street, Park Drive, Berkley Avenue and Derby street.
Directions: From PA 22 East, take SR 403 south to Johnstown until it becomes Franklin Street. Then follow Franklin (PA 403 goes to the left) past UMPC Hospital and straight up a hill. At the top is a huge athletic complex, which is Roxbury Park. These directions courtesy of Michael Shultz. |
