Laurel Summit State Park
This scenic picnic area is operated by the Bureau of State Parks. The 6-acre area offers picnic tables, a pavilion, water, and restroom. The area is 2,739 feet above sea level and several degrees cooler than surrounding towns. This area also provides trailhead parking for Spruce Flats bog and Wolf Rocks Trail. Laurel Summit is a carry in/carry out area. Please take all of your trash with you.
Seasons and Hours: The park is open every day of the year, sunrise to sunset. Day use areas close at dusk. Contact the Linn Run State Park office for facility seasons and hours.
Picnicking: The scenic picnic area has tables, water, restrooms and a pavilion. The picnic pavilion may be reserved up to 11 months in advance for a fee. If unreserved it is free on a first-come, first-served basis.
Hunting: Laurel Summit provides access to hunting in Forbes State Forest.

Horseback Riding: The park provides parking and is a trailhead for equestrian trails in Forbes State Forest.
Hiking: Laurel Summit is a trailhead for trails in Forbes State Forest, including Wolf Rocks Trail and also the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail.
Mountain Biking: Laurel Summit is a trailhead for mountain biking on designated roads in Forbes State Forest.
Cross-country Skiing: Laurel Summit provides access to trails in Fores State Forest.
Snowmobiling: Laurel Summit provides access to trails in Fores State Forest.
