Biking and Mountain Biking

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is represented by this colored map.

Where to Bike

These parks have designated trails for biking or mountain biking.

The bike trails found in state parks feature a variety of sizes, terrain and scenic views. An added bonus is that you can take advantage of the many resources, facilities and activities found within each park.

Bicycling trails are paved or fine aggregate surface trails, which are generally flat.

Mountain biking trails are single track natural surfaces with obstacles and steep climbs and descents.

PA Act 72 requires bicyclists under the age of 12 to wear an ANSI, SNELL, ASTM, or CPSC approved helmet when riding a bicycle. Helmets must be worn level and snug on top of the head with the chin strap securely fastened.

Access for People with Disabilities

If you need an accommodation to participate in park activities due to a disability, please contact the park you plan to visit.
