Water well drillers licensing program
- Frequently asked questions about the Pennsylvania Geological Survey water well program and water well abandonment

companies currently licensed to operate in Pennsylvania.
- Drilling license can be obtained through an on-line application. Please contact the Survey office at 717–702–2017 or send an e-mail request to WebDriller.
Your request must include: - Your 4-digit license number, which is also the “Log In” name for accessing WebDriller.
- A contact person with an email address.
You will be given a 4-digit license number, which is also the “Log In” name for accessing WebDriller, and additional help to set up your password. You can renew your license and rigs by choosing License Management under the Main Menu.
- Water well completion form for drillers. Since 1966, drillers have been required to submit water well completion information describing the location and construction parameters of water wells drilled in Pennsylvania. As of June 1, 2009, all drillers must now use our Internet-based application called
WebDriller. If you

All drillers should now be using WebDriller to submit their water well completion forms (well abandonment forms also can be submitted through WebDriller).
