Obtaining Publications

Online

Many Pennsylvania Geological Survey publications can be viewed or downloaded from our website. These include reports that were published online, as well as reports that were published as printed material or on CD–ROMs and later prepared for release on the web. Links to online reports are found in the lists for each publication series. In addition to many technical reports, our popular educational series, park guides, poster maps, and page-size maps are available to view or download.

In Libraries

Almost all Pennsylvania Geological Survey formal printed and CD-ROM publications can be borrowed from the Survey library or possibly from one of our repository libraries. If you are not near one of these libraries, then you can go to a local library and ask the librarian to arrange for an interlibrary loan.

Open-file reports and reports that were initially published online are not available in libraries. But these reports can be downloaded or viewed on our website (see above).
