Report numbers follow the prefix, for example, OFSM 04–02.1. The first number before the dash represents the year of release, the two numbers after the dash designate the sequence of the report within the year of publication, and the number after the decimal point indicates the version. A zero (0) after the decimal point would indicate the report has had no revisions. In our example, “04” indicates the open-file surficial geologic map was published in 2004, “02” indicates that it is the second report published in the OFSM series that year, and “1” indicates that the report has undergone one revision.
