The appropriately named Breakneck Falls is the location of the advanced rock climbing area. As opposed to Alpha and Kildoo Falls, about 40 feet of Homewood Sandstone has been eroded at the top of Breakneck Falls. This stream, which flowed along the glacier margin for a period of time, carried a large amount of glacial meltwater laden with sediment, accounting for its greater erosive ability than Alpha or Kildoo Falls. The current stream, Cheeseman Run, is probably causing little erosion. This falls also marks a "hanging valley."
