WHO WE ARE

We are Pennsylvania’s biodiversity conservation program. As part of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and working closely with the Pennsylvania Game Commission and Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, we conserve Pennsylvania’s non-game animals, wild plants and their habitats.

What We Do  

We identify research and conservation needs, set priorities, provide grants, and ensure the flow of information between researchers, conservationists, and educators.

A New Focus For The 21st Century

Since 1982, the Wild Resource Conseration Program has supported the study and conservation of our rare species and habitats. We continue that work today, but with a special emphasis on helping our species and natural systems survive global climate change. Learn more...
