OVERVIEW: Collin's sedge has slender arching stems up to 30 inches tall and narrow leaves. The female flowers (perigynia), which are about ½ inch long and very slender, extend at an oblique, downward-pointing angle from the axis of the spike. Male flowers are in a separate spike at the tip of the stem.
